Sex Therapist Supervisor In Training Group:
Dr. Lee is offering a group on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 1 pm to 3 pm ET, starting on May 22, 2025, for AASECT-certified sex therapists interested in becoming sex therapy supervisors. There are only two slots left. The commitment is for six sessions, from May to October. This group will focus on the relationship between the supervisee and the supervisor, allowing you to address countertransference, gain support and feedback, and share valuable resources.
If you're interested in becoming a supervisor, please email Dr. Lee at drleephillips@gmail.com for a consultation. He also offers individual supervisor-in-training supervision.
Sex Therapist Supervision/ Consultation Group:
Dr. Lee is offering a group on the third Tuesday of each month, from 3 pm to 5 pm ET, starting on May 20, 2025, for therapists interested in becoming AASECT-certified sex therapists and for those who are already certified and seeking supervision or consultation. There is one slot left. The commitment is for six sessions, running from May to October. This group will focus on:
Clinical Skill Development:
1. Case Consultation: Therapists present client cases and receive feedback on assessment, interventions, and treatment planning.
2. New Techniques: Learn evidence-based practices in sex therapy (e.g., working with desire discrepancies, sexual trauma, kink, non-monogamy/ polyamory, and sexual compulsivity.
Ethical and Legal Guidance: The supervisor and group members help therapists navigate complex ethical dilemmas, boundary issues, and legal considerations, especially since sex therapy can touch on sensitive topics like consent, non-monogamy, or high-risk behavior.
Self-of-the-therapist Work: Therapists reflect on how their values, biases, and sexual identities may impact their work. We work together to process countertransference issues that may arise.
His goal as a supervisor is to foster connections and peer learning. The group aims to reduce isolation among therapists and normalize the challenges they face, especially when dealing with taboo or stigmatized topics.
If you're interested, please email Dr. Lee at drleephillips@gmail.com for a consultation. He also offers individual supervision toward AASECT certification.
